New Art

Okay, today has been a really busy day in my Bible. I had most of the day off so I spent it in the Word.
I really enjoyed doing this one because I likes how the sun was shining above the clouds just like the verse said about the dawn and the early spring rains. This is a drawing I did myself.

The above drawing came with the Bible (page 806). I'm very fond of it because the snowflake reminds me of where i use to live in the San Bernardino mountains of Southern California. I was and am very fond of the winter snows up there. The verse is very comforting to me as well because it reminds me that even though I fall down and sin, Jesus' sacrifice on the cross has made me pure as the snow.

The one above was complicated to do with many color changes but I love how bright and cheerful it is. I used a different technique of using two different colors on the word "love." I think it made it more interesting. This drawing came in the Bible. It's on page 796.

This one was my favorite of the day to create. I love the colors and the contemporary feel of it. I drew this myself.

This is another one of my drawings. I tried to keep the colors light over the Scripture verses so that I could still read them although I think the picture would have looked prettier with the feathers being darker I felt the Scripture verse was more important than the drawing.

This is the title page for the book of Exodus. It came in the Bible (page 65). Once again I used one of my favorite color backgrounds of yellow. It looks stunning against all the lilac, orchid and purple drawings.

This is another of my drawings. I felt a rocking chair was a place I could find myself sitting in on a beautiful front porch and enjoying the view as the cars drove slowly down the street of a quaint New England town. It would be a wonderful place to sip my coffee and get into the Word at the beginning of my day.
