Delightful Journaling

Okay, so you'll have to forgive the posting date errors, but as I was looking though my pages I've discovered that some of the dates I did the art work on were not the same as the dates I posted them on and since I'm really picky about this stuff I had to correct. That's just a little of my OCD kicking in. LOL :D.

So without having to make this a long explanation here I go with the right pictures for today.

I have so enjoyed coloring them in. At first I didn't think I'd like the Bible since it was too much like a coloring book, but as I spent time in the Word using my artistic talents to color in the pre-drawn pictures I found that it was just as relaxing as drawing them myself.

I've spent most of the morning coloring in small sections of the first page of each chapter. I haven't been called to study these verses which is why I haven't spent time coloring the whole page in. I've colored just enough to be able to put my Bible tabs on. I must say it's been a delightful endeavor to see all the unique and beautiful pages I've yet to color in and enjoy.

Having said this I have had time to color several pages. I haven't committed all of the verses to memory yet though, but I fully intend to do that. I have colored in my Life Verse and it was so nice to find a tab for it. My Life Verse is Jeremiah 29:11. I am still learning it, but I've almost got it down pat. This verse is very special to me because the Lord spoke it to me when I was afraid I might have breast cancer. It comforted me and gave me peace.

For I know the plans
I have for you, declares the Lord.
Plans for good
and not to harm you.
Plans to give you a future
and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11

So anyway, here are a couple of the pages I've done so far today.

As you can see I'm really into the pale yellows so far. It's a very soothing color and it shows up great for backgrounds.

Anyway, I can't wait to find some blank pages where I can recreate the drawings I had done in the Bible I gave to Grandma.

So that's it so far...
